Beata Douglas is a Harlem born girl pursuing her dreams to be rich and famous by any means necessary. Beata decides there's more then one way into the game and tricks her way to her own record deal on Flip Set Records and ends up being featured on Kane's number one chart topping remix. This starts a bitter war between the two music stars. The only problem is that they're attracted to each other.
Trouble for both of them comes home when Roc, Beata's ex boy friend and Kane's ex partner in crime gets out after three years in prison. Roc becomes obsessed with Beata and starts to stalk her. Roc also starts extorting Kane for millions for a crime they committed years ago that ties directly to Beata's past. But when Kane refuses to pay, thing's turn deadly as Roc comes after both of them with a vengeance. Will Beata be able stay alive long enough to enjoy her fame?

I am a fan of this author after reading Pink Palace I and II. He continues to write another good book. I can tell the author really liked old school hip hop music. It brought back alot of memories for me. Aint no half stepping with book cuz it doesn't miss a beat. I hope he writes something else soon. Buy itProduct details

This was a 1 1/2 read for me.
In his second full length novel, Marlon brings you a sizzling read that showcases his unique writing style and sexual imagination. You go into the crazy life of Beata Douglas, a video vixen/recording artist with the sex appeal oozing from her.
The sex scenes in this book were so steamy, I had to put it down for a second and pick it up again. Mr. McCaulsky, I love your work and wish you nothing but continued success. Definitely checking for the next one.
This was a good book nothing i would give 5 stars too, there were alot of typos and alot of extra or just missin words, I am not no English expert but the grammer in this book was really not that good, and if you know anything about grammer you would notice it and it will seriously annoy you, beacuse you wouldnt think a published book would have many typos like this, alot of things in the book just wasnt really that good such as the way the chracters dressed, such as one part she had a babyphat log t shirt and juicy couture jeans with prada stilletos in my mind that looks horrible and does not go together but he describes it as being " extremely sexy" other things like they are supposed to be ballin but they only poppin bottles of Patron and ciroq I dont know about ya but buying Patron and Ciroq doesnt make u big baller, even though famous people do drink it he is still supposed to make us feel like dam they rrally ballin u know she shoulda said bottle of crystal or dom p or something, the plot of the book is good it really is but if you are a true ready and had read alot of famous books you would think this one is poor written, my first book from him and will probably be my last, i have no idea how it got a 5 star rating
This was a good book I read it in two days it had me going from beginning to end. The story line had everything, drama, sex and murder it was very exciting. I hope to read more from this author in the future.
I loved Beata's struggle in this book. The story flowed easily and I finished the book in less than 12 hours. Marlon did the damn thang when he wrote this book. If you haven't copped your copy yet, do it now. You will not be disappointed.
I didnt think I was gonna like this one. But boy was I wrong it was a Banger!!!! Hip Hop Fiction at its Best. Rapper Kane and Video Vixen, excuse me, I Mean RnB Diva Beata, despite the fact that they hate each other, Make Beautiful Music Together. At first Kane is dead set against working with Beata but even he couldnt deny her talent and in his own words she took his song to another level. So he manages to put his feelings aside and get the job done. On stage their Chemistry is Hot Like Fire and soon off stage gets kinda hot too. Add A Back Stabbing friend, and A crazy EX and it dont get no better!! Great read I really enjoyed it!!
The story started off slow for me but midway through it started to pick up. The plot and characters definitely kept me wanting more. I loved how detailed the author was about the music industry. Great read!
I truly enjoyed this book. Beata being the Diva she is using what she got to get what she wants or so she thinks. Kane the rapper coming up in the game but what dirt does he leave behind and who eill it hurt. This was my second book i read by this author and I can honestly say that the second book is the charm. Keep getting better as you go along.
